No, it doesn't. First, make sure you remove the protective cover on the electrolysis system, on the inside of the bottle. Before use, clean the inside of your bottle with warm soapy water. Fill the bottle with warm water and let soak for 30 minutes before turning on. Turning on the system without water will burn and damage the bottle. To avoid damaging the computer board, circuit board and other electronic components, do not soak the outside of the bottle base. After soaking the system for 30 minutes, run the 3 minute cycle then pour out the water. Repeat 2 more times. Your bottle is now ready to use!
